Well usually when you just fire people left and right because they are not good enough the new guys still need to learn and for that time everything either slows down or goes backwards

this is why investors, politicians, and businessmen AREN’T actual innovators. they may FUND innovation, they may PROFIT off innovation, but they don’t spur it.
innovation is spurred by engineers, computer scientists, and chemist….educated, working class people and academics.

This is what happens when you spend so much money on propaganda and foreign influence operations that you forget to maintain the one thing you can legitimately scare people with and the entire rest of your military.
