The real issue here is that Deliveroo are using fake self employment so they can pay below minimum wage, which should have been outlawed by now.Â
I am not at all surprised she is still working for them. People on bail pending sentencing do still need an income, and she will need to have a job when she is released from prison. Of course she’s going to do the only work you can get if your face has been plastered across the news. That isn’t going to surprise anyone.Â

From the BBC article: “All riders are self-employed and can lend their account to anyone they want – a so-called substitute. The main account holder has in the past been responsible for checking that the person is over 18, has no serious convictions and is legally allowed to work.”
So basically anyone can do the job with zero checking by Deliveroo. What a joke.

Ah, yes, the rider who completely unproportionately bit a young fathers thumb off making him no longer be able to work his trade, support his family then consequently lose his relationship thus changing his entire life but is still allowed to pose a risk to others plying the same trade.
AFAIK the rider did not come to the delivery point but up the street, the recipient noticing this walked over to the rider out of his front door but did not have his partners phone, but then told the rider his address, the restaurant and the food but the fat sausage-liked rider here thought he was going to attack them. Then, whilst defending himself, he tried to push the rider away, his thumb going through the visor of the helmet where they ate his finger like a fridge raider.
The only thing that would want to attack them is the crushing wave of cholesterol flowing through their coronary artery every minute of the day. The dense ignorant fathead.

If we had a justice system she’d be in a cage for 10-15 years and a percentage of all her future income and wealth would go to her poor victim. On top of counselling fees.
