    1. > Kemi Badenoch has been roundly mocked after claiming that failure to renew the Tory Party will lead to the loss of “our country and all of Western civilisation”.

      Anyone got the lettuce ready?

    2. Always suspected she was Truss 2.0 and here’s further evidence. Truss’s book was called “10 Years to Save the West”.

    3. Delusional and moronic.

Another central right wing party will be formed and the old top Tory MPs will join Reform or The Lib Dem’s, all whilst the world carries on as it was before.

    4. In 10 years time we’ll all be sitting around a campfire, recovering after the latest raid from Immortan Joe, sharing a toasted rat as we remanice about how lucky we used to be when we had a titan of purest power like kemi holding together Western civilization. She was working class for a summer too, what a champ!

Sorry but who on earth is actually voting the Tories?

Oh well, least they’re seeing the consequences after royally fucking the country up for the last decade

    6. Would it collapse western civilisation……no…just no, go home Kimi and put away your angry pills.

Would a lot of the western political establishment take a pause in concern that the oldest political organisation in the world that is famous for its ability of reinvention took a nosedive in 10 years dispute having checks and balances that shouldn’t have taken it this far….absolutely

*Imagine believing the Tories are the glue holding everything together when they can’t even hold their own party together.* 🤡

If she’s working on the basis that a significant number of Tories would side with Farage, and we’d end up with his sack of rabid badgers and Russian assets running the country, she might not be wrong.

    9. Her big problem is she does not really believe this. Donald Trump, believes what he say, at least in the moment he’s saying it until someone takes the time to correct him. Kemi knows that reform are poised to become the opposition but she doesn’t really know why. I think another commenter said it too, she’s out of her depth and doesn’t really know what she and her party want or stand for.

    10. Word on the street is Liz Truss is frolicking at the fact she has a chance of only being the *second* densest Tory leader this decade

She’s a useful sacrificial idiot. They see her as a narcissistic loudmouth that can tide them over until Labour make themselves look bad by not fixing the world overnight, then they elect a Tory leader with actual skill to look better comparatively against Kemi.

    12. Trying to frame your political demise as being an apocalyptic event might work in America, but here it just marks you out as a fool.

    13. The Tories could be consigned to the history books, lessons learned, and the West would be better off. Rest in pieces, you ultracorrupt crooks.

Isn’t this that health tourist who hates immigrants?

I’m gonna guess joined up thinking isn’t her strong point.

Jump 4 years from now. The Tories have been wiped out, coming 5th, behind Labour, Reform, the LibDems and the SNP. A defeated Kemi stands to the podium to concede. “The West has fallen!” she shouts, before running off to join some rightwing thinktank.

    16. ‘If all human beings disappeared from the Earth, within fifty years all forms of life would flourish’

    17. This is echoing similar bollocks from Trump, who is apparently “saving” the USA. He hasn’t specified what, or who (other than Mexicans) he is saving them from.

    18. But reddit keeps telling me Reform/the right rising across the west is a threat to western civilisation. If the Tories continue to collapse and reform swoop in to become the leading opposition, which would be far more likely than any other party doing so, isn’t she right?

    19. I don’t think she’s entirely wrong. The growing facist right wing mainstream is a genuine threat to humanity, and we need a sane opposition, which we definitely will not get with Reform.

Unfortunately though, unless she plans to steer the Conservatives back towards their pre-Brexit position, which I don’t think she has any intention of doing, she won’t improve things.
