    strange to not see spain higher numbers I guess Spanish media in doing a crazy job alarming their people about not a big problem

    Just like 90% of all national crime statistic comparisons, this one probably also boils down to how the crimes are recorded per country.

    I suppose it’s mandatory for the French and Belgian police to make reports of any physical altercation, even minor ones. Makes more sense than them being 500+ times more violent than the Romanians

    So Spain is safer than Italy ! One thing I know is that robbing from trucks (sometimes hurting the truck driver) is an issue in France. It happens in other EU countries but France is notorious.

    It’s only the registered assaults. I don’t believe it’s that low in Romania compared to Germany. It think it’s because German police works better.

  9. As a romanian I can tell you that while assault cases are not as rare as shown they are still pretty rare, but if we were to talk about theft than it would be another graph entirely
