I am happy to say I am one of them. The idea of going back to an office gives me anxiety, who knew I would become a hermit

An employer would have to try really hard to make me interested in returning to office.

Working from home, working partly from home or have the possibility to work remotely from home?
No way are the numbers acccurate for Finland if full-time is considered.

Definitely coincidence that the happiest country in the world has the highest percentage.

In Finland everyone works from home because the roads are covered in 5m of snow the whole year.

We need actual manufacturing, production. We need to create things. Not just software devs who get Mogged by China and India. It’s literally over. The EU can’t even stop Russian gas imports. It’s totally reliant on other nations. It has 0 autarky.
And it’s these jobs that exacerbate it

I looked it up at the source link as well but I don’t understand: what does this measure? Naively it seems that it’s the percentage of the employed working age population that works from home exclusively, but it’s not clear. And does it include the self employed that only have a home office as a place of business?
I used to work from home 2 days a week when my office was a 1.5 hour one way commute. This was basically out of necessity. Then my employer opened a new office within cycling distance of my home. I never work from home anymore. I don’t understand why anyone would even want to work from home. You get nothing done, there’s no distinction between work and private life and you get no change of view or pace the entire day.

Covid was a blessing for us Finns. We finally got rid of the completely unnecessary socializing at workplaces. Ahh! Home sweet home, where other people are at least on the other side of walls at the very minimum, if even that is a bit too close for complete comfort.

The info for the UK is readily available. Not sure how you couldnt find it
Not surprised about Portugal, far too many micro managers there to allow anyone to work from home and risk the manager noticing they don’t actually do anything
