    1. > The toilet was plumbed in and fully functioning as part of an art exhibition at the Oxfordshire stately home in September 2019.

The classic art category of “more money than sense”.

Serves the morons right. A gold toilet is stupid, vulgar and a symbol of outrageous wealth.

What do you mean more money than sense? Given the time it was built and the price of gold today it makes very good sense.

On a similar but unrelated note, I have a gold toilet that I recently acquired, struggling to get rid of it so will accept £1m or nearest offer!

Im presuming someone‘s already made the obligatory „police have nothing to go on“ joke?

“Insured for £6m” aye and the ones in the dock for stealing it are the ones classed as thieves…

    7. I can’t imagine it’s particularly comfortable. I’ve never been overjoyed to find that a public loo is metal of any kind

Good. I actually think the thieves will make better use of the gold in a way that benefits more people. Rich pricks who take life-changing money and decide to make something they can literally shit on deserve to be robbed and worse.
