“Not everyone may be kung fu fighting, but the [Unitree](https://www.techeblog.com/unitree-b2-w-robot-dog-upgrade/) G1 humanoid robot most certainly is. The engineering team made some tweaks to its algorithm, enabling the robot to learn and perform virtually any movement.
The most surprising thing? G1 isn’t some concept, but rather a real robot that you can buy today for [$16,000](https://www.unitree.com/g1) USD.”

Well at least the robot uprising will involve sick Kung Fu battles.

These humanoid robots are simply idiotic. A Johhny 5 lookalike would work better than bipedal movement.

You know what’s weird? I used to love these videos with robots doing cool stuff. Now they just fill me with dread. The times they have a-changed for real

That robot knows as much kung fu as a 5 year old after watching a Jackie Chan movie for the first time. We’re safe for now, humans.

Robot companies: “*These things are completely safe! Its just like a wheelbarrow to move boxes about.*”
Also robot companies: “*Watch it do kung fu! We doing sniper firearms next.*”
That’s the worst AI I have ever seen… Watch the feet – the shadows lag. Terrible.
There is a reason there isn’t a real person in the image.

We really need to take steps to prevent these from being used effectively as weapons. Previously you had to win the hearts and minds of people to have an army and at some point you will just be able to buy one. Imagine Elon perfecting his tesla robot and deciding to secretly truck 50,000 of them to DC and surround government buildings to get whatever he wants.

So this is the T-1, right? We already started on [Skynet](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SKYNET_(surveillance_program)). They’d be perfect together.
