Oh no! The consequences of my life choices were unpleasant!

Joking aside, if his purpose is to dissuade other Albanians making the same poor choices then that’s all to the good.

    3. I have zero sympathy for Albanians, there are plenty of legitimate places to work in Europe.

    4. Albanian placed in hotel. There is no war in Albania, no extreme poverty it is European country. He should be arrested and sent back…. UK is becoming a joke. I fully support genuine refugees escaping war but Albanians ???

Just reading up on the delights that come in by boat. Palestinian war criminal, Albanian drug dealers, child murders and rapist. All to live freely in the U.K. because we have to worry about their human rights don’t we?

      >Lavdrim Krashi, an MP in the ruling Socialist Party, said some people had been lured on social media by promises of a better life in Britain.

      >He told the BBC: “The promotion was made to especially young people to come to the UK and if you make it there, don’t worry about any finances because money really grows on trees, and **we know that’s not the case.**”

Haha, turns out the way to stop illegal immigration is just to make your country economically shitty.

Good, I’m glad you were exploited! Now go and tell all your criminal friends not to bother coming to the UK.

I mean, no shit. It is obviously not nice to go through but this is what you get when you enter the UK illegally and work for businesses willing to hire illegal immigrants. You lose all legal protection and you will be exploited. You should not be surprised when criminals who get you into the UK turn out to not care about your rights once you are here.

Setting aside the article itself, what’s with all the extremely hostile comments on this post written in broken, grammatically disjointed English?

Is it nothing but Russian bots?

The EU should admit Albania to the EU on the condition that an EU border force fully controls its borders, gangs are jailed in EU jails and gang members are banned from freedom of movement. Only then can Albania join the EU. It’s getting to a point I’d support an invasion of Albania to stop the scourge of gangs, drugs, trafficking and violence.

As much as I despise illegal immigration this reads like a planted story.

Well yeah, those jobs are gonna be awful. It’s sad people resort to seeking them out because they’re not allowed to work for a living while waiting on a decision, even though that would actually alleviate the resource burden of keeping them in a place you know you can contact them once a decision is made.

We have been working for centuries to expand worker rights to where they are today.

Reminder that there are plenty of employers out there who would be happy to strip you of those rights. So happy, in fact, that they are willing to do it **illegally** and hope they don’t get caught – the benefits of illegal slave labour are sufficient to offset the risks of fines and/or jail time.

We need to be very clear on this. All illegal work is slavery. No matter if people get paid, the employer holds an unacceptable sword over the head of the worker. Illegal workers are victims. Their “employers” are criminals.

I don’t think we should be lenient with punishments for slavers.

Albania should be a quick win, it’s not “war torn”, there are no travel advisory’s. So anyone who’s here from Albania illegally should just automatically be deported.

No question, no asylum, just finger print/3D facial scan and put on next flight out.

That’s it – speed is the necessity spending months in court trying to deport one person, while 500 turn up in one day the numbers are against you.
