Its 100m and we’re going to be spending a lot more on steel production for armaments so it’s not a big deal

    2. I don’t think this is a stupid move right now based on the fact that Trump is changing his mind on a weekly basis. There is no reason we can’t wait a week see what happens and then still apply tariffs.

We don’t have the exports in the industry that we used to but its a shame they’re coming in just before Black Sabbaths last show.

It’s not a big deal. There won’t be a USA to trade with at all soon. 💀

We’ve had tariffs on our steel exports for 6 of the last 9 years.  Both the first Trump administration and the Biden administration imposed them.

Ironically enough Trump’s chin is where Putin rests his balls when he’s ordering him to place tariffs on the US’s allies.

    7. 100m really isn’t much in the grand scheme of things. Especially as Starmer is in contact with Trump almost daily and seems convinced that we will receive some kind of trade deal.

Yes, we will lose out on steel tariffs. But we might benefit elsewhere.

Everyone cheering Canada for their courage and determination in standing up to Trump. Instead of standing strong with others against this sociopath, the preference is to wait at the sidelines to see if any spoils can be had. It leaves a bitter taste of hypocritical cowardice behind.

This might sound alarmist , but there’s a serious risk of internal collapse within the US in the months ahead if this insanity continues at its current rate . Whether that looks like a revolution or a coup or civil war or something more akin to 1980s Belfast on a US wide level is up in the air, but something is coming to that country and it’s not going to be pretty. Frankly we would do well to simply focus on ourselves and our European and Commonwealth partners .

I paid 15 quid for tickets at the Southampton gaumont in the late 70s early 80s “bat eating blizzards of oz” tour
      Couldn’t be arsed to go.
Mate went said it was shit.

    11. i say for every 25% trump tariffs uk goods, the UK should slap 25% ontop of that same product, dont tariff products coming INTO the uk, make americans pay us the same amount america taxes it. we actually dont need to tariffs american goods into the UK, because tariffing imports is actually not the right way to use tarriffs.
