  1. The Total Lunar Eclipse 2025 at Maximum Totality

This is a single long exposure shot (20 s, f9, ISO 100) at 560 mm. I loved the way the long exposure brought an ethereal glow to the rest of the image, making it one of my favourite eclipse shots I’ve ever taken!

I used photopills to plan the shots, Sony a7iii, 100-400 mm lens and 1.4x teleconverter, and [u/skywatcherusa](https://www.reddit.com/user/skywatcherusa/) Star Adventurer 2i with an equatorial mount for tracking.

    I hope you like it!

To see the full progression of shots taken via timelapse, check out my composite here (though the colour profile seems to have changed): [https://www.reddit.com/r/space/comments/1jcogwx/the_first_total_lunar_eclipse_since_2022_im_so/](https://www.reddit.com/r/space/comments/1jcogwx/the_first_total_lunar_eclipse_since_2022_im_so/)
