Populists and fascists always attack “media”. Thats because media in democracies typically have the role of challenging leaders and showing when they are wrong to the benefit of the country and people.
So when you see Trump, Elon and all the other horrible individuals going after objective media and facts – its just them repeating history.

How many of those “legacy media links” are just mild editorial with a screenshot of a tweet or short clip from a video posted to X or YouTube.

LOL, so-called “mainstream” media also provide all the actual facts, unless you think it’s news when someone pulls an arbitrary opinion out of their ass or films a shaky handy video. It’s not as if “X” or “TikTok” have a vast network of correspondents with film crews and producers…
