No rules to stop him from barraging everyone with ‘content’ Reform linked Twitter profiles though.
Democracies need to enforce the laws regarding impartiality and equal airtime upon broadcasters and social media platforms where accounts from Malaysia and India with hundreds of thousands of followers mimick as locals and campaign online for them. Far more blatant interference than Russian one if you ask me.
Lib Dems received generally the same percentage of votes and I don’t remember the last time I heard anything about them in the media or social media.
Labour didn’t seem to have a problem with Lakshmi Mittal’s money a few years ago. The Lib Dem’s got to keep the £2m from Michael Brown even though it turned out to be the proceeds of a scam. In fact there didn’t seem to be any urgency over donations until Reform’s mooted Musk donation appeared on the radar.
It is probably a good idea to limit foreign donations. And yet somehow this idea of taking the lunch money off the newest kid in the playground leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.
Any donation over 10k should be banned. Who is the boss after that amount?
However, i want musk to donate this money. Reform is a grift on the edge of implosion. Let’s speed run it and redistribute some of that wealth. Egg him on to do it before the rule change. It will be gone in weeks
