    1. The plan needs US support, and the US currently wants nothing to do with sending or supporting peacekeepers in Ukraine. I doubt anything is actually going to emerge from this coalition other than virtue signalling.

At least he’s got the bollacs. Unlike everyone on here scared of fighting

    3. Playing Putin at his own game. How many times has Vlad said the same thing since the war broke out.

    4. So Putin won’t allow troops from Nato countries as part of a deal, and the US has said they won’t be involved either. But European leaders keep pretending they can ignore that and somehow bounce them into it? Severe consequences? Starmer needs to spell out what those are. It sounds like an empty threat.

Russia has proven to be a paper tiger these last 3 years..it’s not like they are barking at the borders of Poland is it?

I love Starmer lately, dishing it back to the Russians and not giving a fuck whatever bs red-line they keep crying about

    7. All those who seem to be defending Russia and Putin, remember he did attack on our soil.

I’m sure Starmer will be encouraging his 16/17 year old son to enlist for the front lines. It definitely won’t be the poor dying, will it?

He really gonna lean on this as a rally round the flag while savaging British society from the most vulnerable to the hardest working. And you’re all gonna fucking love it.

Desperate to drag the UK into a war and all the internet tough nuts cheering for it as usual.

I know this is somewhat serious but keir starmer threatening serious consequences is so funny because the man isn’t exactly courageous, imagine that nasally voice saying there will be severe consequences!!! Lol

    12. Careful making statements like that, you need to follow through or Putin will walk all over you.

    13. He said any reposte would require a US compoment and that consequences would follow any russian violation( so still reactive and nothing proactive, still allowing russia to take initiative and the first step). Imo nothin learned and a threat with all bark and no teath. I wonder if russia reads it differently?

Come on though. Britain doesn’t have a large army or an adequate reserve, hasn’t modernised in years, doesn’t have a very effective defence system, the air force and navy is now a joke, special forces are no longer considered the best trained in the world. What drugs is Starmer on

    15. Weak man yells loudly during a peace negotiation he has nothing to do with. Queue curb your enthusiasm end music.

    16. Denbt_Nationale on

Really? What consequences? I’m starting to get tired of Starmer playing up the strongman wartime PM thing when his actual commitment to raising defence spending was insultingly small and the “coalition of the willing” seems to be incapable of doing anything except having meetings and waiting for the US to come and bail us out.

And it’s becoming hard not to notice the fact we clearly have nothing to do with the peace negotiations or any of the strategies for peace being discussed. What’s the ideal outcome here? British soldiers putting their lives at risk to protect American mining companies while they loot Ukrainian resources?

Fresh from bullying disabled people he’s now coming for Putin’s dinner money 😂 Putin must be shitting himself

    18. What peace deal? If we deploy troops to Ukraine without any Russian agreements as to what the ceasefire is then it’s basically declaring war. Russia so far has not signaled it will agree anything that even approaches even a short term ceasefire under realistic terms.

    19. “Severe consequences” like a stiffly worded letter? Or are we threatening any actual intervention?

Also, what peace deal? Nothing has been agreed and looking at what Russia is still demanding it seems unlikely anything will be agreed soon.

    20. RainbowRedYellow on

Starmer won’t do anything, If Putin breeches the Cease fire Starmer will just kill some more disabled people or stamp on a trans kids head or something.

The far right ultra wealthy voter base he’s trying to court won’t tolerate aggression against their puppets.

    21. Starmer warning of severe consequences is like a jelly baby warning us that pi is precisely 3.1

What is that guy gonna do lmao these euros gotta sit back and let daddy trump handle the situation

    23. LostInTheVoid_ on

Russia played this game with Turkey. They flew into Turkeys airspace multiple times. Turkey warned them and then the next time the Russian’s did it the Turks shot the plane down. Russia promptly stopped fucking about.

Essentially you stand up to bullies not just with words but actions if you have to.

    24. Neat_Relation730 on

I bet Putin is quaking in his boots that Starmer will send his planeless carriers to the black sea, or 2,000 poor kids from the Midlands to fortify Donbas. Lol ” Boohoo please don’t consequence me Starmer, you’re so scary’

    25. ClintBIgwood on

We don’t even have a peace deal and this muppet is making threats?!(assuming he did)

    26. fuckyournameshit on

This is all theatre for domestic consumption.

Russia has already said there will be no agreement to NATO peace keepers. Even if they’re not technically on a NATO mission.
