I told him not to start a Facebook thread criticising his children’s school. He wouldn’t listen.

I work next door and saw the whole incident unfold.

      Hope the officer is okay.

In situations such as this the Jean Charles de Menezes killing is always worth bearing in mind.

Involved police with firearms and was also in an extremely fluid environment.

Just to give one pause for thought before presuming anything.

Past this around 14:40 Plenty of police. The bus stops were closed.

    8. Good on the police, maybe people will think twice before carrying weapons. More officers (or most) should carry firearms, like in the rest of Europe (& the world).

    9. Maybe it was a toy gun as an April Fools Day joke that went wrong….and a bit late
