    1. I’d love to see a chart of economic performance vs media reporting over time.

Rags like the Telegraph told us Truss was an economic genius, and have been insisting Labour have caused economic armageddon, and sadly, too many Brits are stupid enough to swallow their bilge.

Wait for it to drop like bricks after the hikes this month new tax year, NI for business, loss of jobs etc

Last month was unexpectedly low, this month was unexpectedly high.

Both months will be revised even further downwards by the ONS in a couple of months, as is tradition.

Good news, however it needs to be sustained for it to matter. The rise in bills we have all seen and Trump’s demented economic policies could easily wipe that off by June.

A bad day to be in the “…BLOW FOR RACHEL REEVES” headline writing business

    6. >UK economy grew by 0.5% February

Just missing the now traditional”…in MASSIVE B____ to Reeves’ Budget”

I’m so sick of shitty business report. Grew vs what? Last year or last month?

Amazing, this is great news. But for who? Labour have just got in and their plans for “growth” were to cut everything they could convincingly the public on.

They start with pensioners (brave), then disabled (cowardly). So I wonder who next will be offered up to our lord Growth next.

Who the hell is benefiting from growth today? And why isn’t our growth as a country, the conditions of our people not held in higher regard? 1 year, 1 quarter of a stupid fucking line going up seems to be enough to gut our welfare state even further. So who are growing for exactly?

      Fucking Labour doing……checks notes…..good things?

At least that might offset killing the sick and ill.

    10. Terrible figures and it only leads up to before Trumps tarrifs and before the Business tax hikes kick in.

This isn’t something to celebrate it just means it’s very very slightly not contracting as fast as predicted. We are at 0% growth which is shocking.

There’s a reason Labour aren’t crowing about this…we are heading for serious economic pain thanks to that disastrous October 2024 budget.

Looks to be a broad contribution to the increase too rather than a single sector.

If this is “good news” – why has the pound fallen so far against the Euro this week?

Why has it decreased even further today on the back of this “good news”?

That makes fuck all difference to me 🤷‍♀️
I’m sure a millionaire somewhere is super happy

    14. Don’t care.

When beer is still on the up, petrol still expensive, businesses raising their prices, taxes at an all time high… who cares if the GDP line goes up or down? Makes no economic difference to me
