Good, the Trump Administration wipes itself with Western ideals and we should not be following in their footsteps.

  2. Appropriate_Western7 on

What exactly are they hoping to achieve? Nothing happened last time and it won’t again.

When I say Donald trump is literally not our president, he literally is not our president.

It’s not like the labour government is any better than the American republicans and Starmer has been proven to be utterly corrupt as well.

I don’t want to hear the ” well Trump is worse because xyz”

    Corrupt is corrupt.

I’d like to see his visit ignored and his presidential cavalcade moving through empty streets. Or silence as he passes, with people turning their backs. What a powerful display that would be.

  4. Get that big fucking blimp out. Just make sure it has extremely teeny tiny hands. Obviously it’ll be difficult to make hands as proportionally small, they’d need to be microscopic but I’m sure we can try for Der fuhrer.

His first one was in Windsor. I didn’t see ANYTHING as a local? People protested 20 miles away.

I do recall the various ‘decoy’ helicopters flying about though

  6. Should we avoid agitating him ? He may impose tariffs on us. 😵‍💫 King may need to make him happy and we can be allies as usual.

I’ve never protested anything in my life and I’m 60 but I’ll be there with eggs

If only those same protesters could work up enough disdain for the fascist currently residing in No. 10.

Given everything that has gone on and occured… I get that Starmer is playing the smart card in terms of minimising economic blowback to the UK..

But…. I feel like the government need to read the room.

I hope we make sure he sees just how unwelcome he is here. Nazis not welcome!!!!

I say good job to all that are able to attend Trumps arrival to our country and make it clear how many of us do not want his kind in our country ! I would join those protesting against Trump if I could.

  12. Good. Let the public show their displeasure, as is our right to do. Let our government and our monarchy protect the country, union, and the commonwealth as is their job to do. International politics can not afford to be overly emotional, and I am quite proud of how our government and monarchy is handling it all. They wield chainsaws on stage, we use scalpels in surgery.

  13. Probably best he doesn’t come really, we’ve had our fill of clowns pretending to politicians.

  14. Rare_Walk_4845 on

be sure to protest in the designated proest zone, otherwise our fabulous police empowered by our fabulous government will throw you in the clink, the same place they tell us is already over crowded.

and dont worry even if you think you got away with protesting outside the designated protest zone (50 miles away from anything), our fabulous AI powered cameras and security systems they told you was gonna keep us safe from terrorists will track you all the way back to your house.

  15. I would set things alight, feel like making a giant orange effigy setting it alight with a nice message something like “fascist scum like trump burn in hell”

Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Certain people have been refused entry to the UK because they are hate preachers and police have warned that major demonstrations will occur if they come in and are allowed to spread their bile, so they are denied entry as they are a threat to public order.

I know that this is a diplomatic visit but shouldn’t the same laws apply?

He’s going to see just how much free speech we have at least. Would rather we just ignored him though, empty the streets or turn our backs to him. You know full well streets full of thousands of protesters will get turned into “millions of well wishers and supporters – the UK loves Trump!” back on Fox and in his mind.

  18. American here – just wanted to say thanks for the assist.

All of this nonsense is wearing a lot of us out, so articles like this provide some motivation to go on.

*The madness, you got to speak your mind*
    *If you dare.”*

    At long last!

I have 200 bottles of pee saved now since I missed his last state visit! I was starting to have a storage problem!

  20. Don’t cancel. It is our duty to distract the orange turd for 3 or 4 days, thus wasting 1% of his remaining time as President, or at least wasting time until the inevitable civil crisis when he refuses to leave office *again.*

  21. The hostility to Trump is hugely increased from the last visit, he didn’t help his cause when he was openly disrespectful to the Queen. This time his recent actions would make him openly hated.

  22. I saw something about a French politician being banned from coming. Why isn’t it the same for Trump?

  23. Cynical_Classicist on

Despite our politicians cheering him on in glowing terms I want the world to see that this evil fascist is not welcome here.
