Spain scraps contested Israeli arms deal after uproar

I wish Italy had the courage and the wisdom to to the same.

In theory Italy has a law preventing arms trade with countries at war and with those violating human rights, but the law is formally bypassed by fulfilling prior contracts and by routing import/exports through Italian front companies located in the USA.

Heard that cancelling the plan just cancel de send but not the payment, so Israel still gets the check and Spain doesn’t get the thing we paid for. Does anyone know about that?
