  1. A cool takeaway is that zero‑gravity actually makes many astronauts *more* comfortable, aches disappear and they like the free‑floating “zombie” pose.

  2. Like I can float on water nicely and it’s relaxing though I could sleep. I wonder how similar it would be to zero gravity sleeping

I wonder if they ever get that “oh shit I’m falling!” sensation. If so, I wonder if waking up in zero gravity makes the jerking awake better or terrifying for a split second.

I have a few friends that were shuttle commanders/pilots, Curt Brown and Hoot Gibson told me they had sleeping bags strapped to the wall in the lower deck but that they were most comfortable sleeping strapped into their seats.

fun fact: astronauts cannot have their face covered whilst they sleep, as the carbon dioxide they breathe out can collect near their mouth and nose and suffocate them.

  6. I imagine your organs would feel all floaty and not really know where to go to rest. Then they might all move around to weird spots and you’d wake up with your lungs sideways and your liver below your stomach or something.
