I feel as though using that picture is pretty shitty behaviour from the Standard tbh. I’d be furious in her position.

It’s a Justified cause, but probably too much money to be fined (I’d lose my mind if any of my neighbours did that)

£8000 for 7 hours of loud music is outrageously over-the-top no matter how much loud music she’s played in the past.

Though the hordes that roam Reddit will now downvote me and declare she should have served 8 years in prison and be beaten with a stick ..

It will be interesting to see how quickly the fine is paid, if at all.

This is fantastic news. Noise is a serious problem with the shitty housing stock we have in the UK. It’s about damn time it was dealt with.

They should stand all noisy neighbours infront of jumbo jets for weeks on end until it gives them tinnitus.
Ive been on the receiving end of selfish neighbours like this and it is mental torture.
People really don’t realise how it affects your life for the worse.

Good. It’s massively disruptive behaviour for everyone around, I had the same situation once with this insane drug-binging guy (apparently with rich parents to pay the rent), you couldn’t sleep in a wide radius of houses. Went on for months, until he was taken away in some form. Exactly what you need authorities to step in for.

Noise pollution causes stress and we now know that stress is a killer, contributing to the likes of heart disease, cancer, diabetes and dementia. People might say it is an overreaction but it is about time we took noise pollution seriously as a public health issue.

  9. Can I sue my flatmate above me for how she STOMPS instead of walking like a normal person

  10. ‘The marathon music session reportedly included the 2019 Alaina Castillo track I Don’t Think I Love You Anymore, which may reflect her feelings towards Brent Council after she was ordered to pay £8,665 in court.’

The article almost feels like an ad for this random song but it’s good repeated noise complains are getting serious fines
