  1. I’ve seen this countless times with Lebanese and other Arabic food/street food. Places really mangle the recipe and try to sell it as authentic while making a massive upcharge. Manouche being the main culprit here…selling a piece of bread topped with cheese, meat, or zaatar while selling it for 7-10 dollars (like a 2X min markup of what it really should cost).

  2. This is not khachapuri, like not at all, they’ll ruin the reputation of khachapuri if they do this.

Khachapuri isn’t just ok, it isn’t just nice, IT’S DELICIOUS. So you have to be very careful with the recipe. People think it is easy to make, it is not, it is really hard to get right.

But you must understand these ingredients come straight from Sakartvelo and were flown in every morning.

  4. Tell me the chef is not Georgian without telling me the chef is not Georgian. Or waiter. Or bartender. Or everyone else. πŸ™‚

I’m all for iterating on tradition, but this is trash 😭. The seeded crust is sending me too. It’s like a chimaera of a bagel, pizza, and khachapuri which leaves everyone dissatisfied

  6. I got offended and I’m not even Georgian! Who calls this thing Khachapuri???
