okayteenay on August 11, 2025 8:16 pm I’m assuming both are farmed. In which case they’re equally as «bad». I prefer to avoid farmed salmon/trout. I stick with wild white fish. I grew up in the pacific northwest where wild salmon is still widely available.

UpperCardiologist523 on August 11, 2025 9:28 pm No idea. Been 3 years since i could afford any of those.
MistressLyda on August 11, 2025 10:15 pm From what I recall, trout is the lesser evil environmentally speaking, but salmon is a lesser evil seen from an animal welfare perspective. I gave up both years ago, seiblokk is my main fish these days. Tolerable environmental strain, and I can afford it.

Equally destructive, equally disgusting
