Looks like it isn’t one of the fun ones who says they drink ten whiskies and smoke a pack a day 🙁
It must be terrifying just existing at that age. Every night before you go to sleep I’d be convinced I’m never going to wake up.
TIL that Britain is home to the world’s oldest person. I’d have assumed Japan.

Wow she actually looks amazing for that age not a day over 80
It’s so sad that everyone she ever knew in her childhood is dead.
It’s difficult to comprehend that someone who was already in their thirties when WW2 was happening is still alive today.
If I have the same luck she has I’ll still be here in 2110. I doubt it though. Historically the men in my family don’t see 65. Then again they all lived off whiskey and Lambert & Butler.
I’m looking forward to being this age and still being forced to work.
Is there a cut off to state pension? She’s definitely taken more than she put in at this point.

Only the very wealthy will enjoy this in the future. Good luck funding a decent care home to this age if you’re on a pension kicking in nowadays. She’s from the generation that got gold plated pensions that pay a great sum until death.

Unless she started work at 10, been living off your taxes for longer (56 years, state pension age for women was lowered to 60 in 1940) than she ever worked for.
