I’ll bet they need a star too
I certainly hope we don’t find it on the one endoplanet we know of, that would be a little startling
Because none of the other planets in our solar system have it?
Why do we want to find alien life? Why is that important for the people of Earth?
I do expect biosignatures are likely to be at least 7+ orders of magnitude more common in the universe than technosignatures, so yes, studying exoplanets is likely to discover life faster than searching for radio transmissions.

Cuz life most likely lives on planets?
“Nothing” moves faster than the speed of light, funny nobody considered just pulling the planets here vs trying to travel to them at light speed. Light speed being wayyyy too slow.
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and saaaaaaaaay, because I’m pretty sure we’re not finding any on a Star???
