Horrendous. What did they do, poor Bolivians to fare so tremendously badly?

Did they actually have control of these territories de facto, or was it just on paper? I ask that because there are a lot of wildly different biomes in this hypothetical country. You have the chaco, amazon rainforest, high-altitude Andes, Atacama desert. It’s hard for a small nation to militarily control all of that.

    3. Brazil paid 2 million pounds for the purple part (around the size of Portugal), totally fair deal.

The land that they sold to brazil is not well used today, it dense amazon jungle with some very small cities on there

    5. Bolivia still maintains an actually navy, albeit a small one, with the hope of regaining some coastline someday. In the meantime the patrol inland waterways.

So was the Chile that Simon Bolivar liberated the Chile in Red or the actual country of Chile adjacent to the South Pacific?

Like the little brother that gets his chips nicked by the rest of his siblings

    8. I understand Brazil, Argentina, and even Chile, but loosing territory to Paraguay gotta one of the most embarrassing things to do as a country
